Sacred Geometry
Where ancient architects aligned stones with celestial movements, this painting honors the sacred mathematics of Leskernick stone circle. Copper leaf catches light like the original bronze tools that shaped these settlements, while earth pigments tell stories of the people who called this windswept moor home. Time collapses in the presence of these stone circles - past and present existing in perfect harmony.
This is an original painting - hand made local earth pigment paint, copper leaf and acrylic on ply board.
The natural materials for the paint have been gathered from the north Cornwall area, processed by hand and left in a fairly coarse state to add texture.
Paintings containing these natural materials literally have the land that inspired them in the artwork, bringing a real sense of the landscape into the work. They inform the choice of colour palette to ensure an authentic feel and connection to the subject.
The painting is 20cm by 20cm and is supplied in an off-white float frame with fixings for wall hanging.
Signed on the reverse with certificate of authenticity.
