This is an original painting - hand made local earth pigment paint and copper leaf on ply board.
The natural materials for the paint have been gathered from the north Devon area, processed by hand and left in a fairly coarse state to add texture.
Paintings containing these natural materials bring a real sense of landscape into the work. They inform the choice of colour palette to ensure an authentic feel and connection to the subject.
