Cornish Flows
'Cornish Flows' explores the invisible patterns that shape our landscape - from wind currents to tidal flows, captured through the interplay of earth pigments and maritime blues. This piece celebrates the dynamic forces that have carved Cornwall's coastline over millennia.
This is an original painting -mixed media on canvas, combining cyanotype process and locally gathered materials to map nature's own choreography.
The natural materials for the paint have been gathered from the north Cornwall area, processed by hand and left in a fairly coarse state to add texture.
Paintings containing these natural materials literally have the land that inspired them in the artwork, bringing a real sense of the landscape into the work. They inform the choice of colour palette to ensure an authentic feel and connection to the subject.
The painting is 40cm by 50cm and is supplied in an off-white float frame with fixings for wall hanging.
Earth pigments, cyanotype and acrylic medium on ply canvas.
Signed on the reverse with certificate of authenticity.
