Leskernick Whispers
Ancient voices echo across Bodmin Moor where Leskernick's stone circle has stood sentinel for millennia. Earth pigments gathered from this sacred landscape merge with gleaming copper leaf, capturing the eternal dialogue between Bronze Age settlers and the timeless moor.
This is an original painting - hand made local earth pigment paint, copper leaf and acrylic on ply board.
The natural materials for the paint have been gathered from the north Cornwall area, processed by hand and left in a fairly coarse state to add texture.
Paintings containing these natural materials literally have the land that inspired them in the artwork, bringing a real sense of the landscape into the work. They inform the choice of colour palette to ensure an authentic feel and connection to the subject.
The painting is 20cm by 20cm and is supplied in an off-white float frame with fixings for wall hanging.
Signed on the reverse with certificate of authenticity.
