Celtic Connection

The Celtic Connection collection crosses the water from Cornwall into Wales and Pembrokeshire, the ancient Celtic nations that share a geological and cultural kinship older than English history.

These paintings were inspired by residencies and visits to the West Cornwall and Pembrokeshire coastlines, where I found landscapes that rhyme with Cornwall: the same dramatic cliffs, the same quality of light over dark water, the same sense of a place that has been sacred for millennia.

Earth pigments gathered from these locations bring the specific mineral character of each site into the paintings. The Celtic Connection collection is a meditation on shared heritage and the deep connections between the Celtic fringe, perfect for those with a love of Cornwall, Wales, or the wilder edges of the British Isles.
