Rock Reach
'Rock Reach' offers a unique perspective of Bude's distinctive coastal formations, where ancient stone fingers stretch out to meet the tide. This bird's eye view captures nature's architectural prowess, reminding us of the ongoing dialogue between land and sea.
This is an original mixed media painting - charcoal, hand made local earth pigment paint and acrylic on canvas.
The natural materials for the paint have been gathered from the Bude area, processed by hand and left in a fairly coarse state to add texture.
Paintings containing these natural materials literally have the land that inspired them in the artwork, bringing a real sense of the landscape into the work. They inform the choice of colour palette to ensure an authentic feel and connection to the subject.
The painting is 40cm by 40cm and is supplied in an off-white float frame with fixings for wall hanging.
Mixed media on canvas.
Signed on the reverse with certificate of authenticity.
